Windows XP Users - Java Virtual Machine

Seedrama.com makes use of Java in it's menu system. Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) browsers require an add-on application - Java Virtual Machine - in order to run Java. Most IE browsers come with Java Virtual Machine already installed, except for systems running Windows XP.

When Windows XP was first released, a Microsoft version of the Java Virtual Machine was made available as a downloadable component. However, due to a licensing dispute with Sun Microsystems (the creators of Java), Microsoft was forced to withdraw the distribution of their Java Virtual Machine. This was enforced on July 10, 2002.

What does this mean for visitors to the seedrama.com?
Any visitor who uses Windows XP and did not download the Java Virtual Machine prior to July 10 2002 will not be able to use the Java menu system that is on our site or any of the other sites on the web that use java applets or applications.

Please note that if you upgraded your old Microsoft operating system to XP, you may very well already have the Microsoft JVM installed, as it was part of your last operating system and was on your computer during the upgrade process. However, it may be an older version and you may wish to install the newest version which you will find here.

Here is the workaround and download of the Microsoft JVM:

Steps to install the Microsoft Virtual Machine:
"msjavx86" File Size: 5,26 MB Download

1. Download the file using the link above and save it to your harddrive.
2. Once the file is on your harddrive, execute it and thus load the Virtual Machine.
3. As the file begins execution, answer Yes to the License Agreement question and then once complete, re-boot your PC.
4. Once the PC is re-booted you should be set to go.
5. Come back to www.seedrama.com and enjoy the Prefecture of Drama.
